That means a Haldex clutch connecting the rear wheels to the front. Most of the time the car is front wheel drive, but once the front wheels begin to slip the clutch-pack in the Haldex unit mounted just in front of the rear differential begins to lock up, diverting up to 50 percent of the engine's torque to the rear wheels.
